Paul Geremia For over thirty years, Paul Geremia has survived solely by the fruit of his musical labors. Having abandoned all other means of support in 1966, he has been traveling far and wide ever since, performing in every capacity from street singing to club and concert bookings, throughout the U.S.A., Canada and Europe. In the years since, Geremia has built a reputation as a first rate bluesman, songwriter, a "scholar" of early jazz and blues, and one of the best country blues fingerpickers ever with his tools - six and twelve-string guitars, harmonica, piano and a husky soulful voice - and with an innate sense of the humor as well as the drama of the music, he keeps traditional blues fresh and alive with his performances. Opener: Marjorie Thompson - "Marjorie Thompson brings her own unique style to the fine art of acoustic finger picking guitar. Her sultry voice, often touching on the blues, sometimes evokes the smoky romance of an old Mississippi riverboat saloon." |

Brooks Williams Few guitarists transcend genre and style, but Brooks Williams has made a career of it. His music is a fearlessly evolving melange of intricate blues-soaked chords, Latin rhythms, and soulful riffs. He defies categorization. From coast-to-coast, country-to-country, his concerts are legendary: one man, one guitar, rollin' and tumblin' like nobody's business. From the very beginning, Brooks Williams' music has showed a strong connection to roots music, mixed in with a swinging improvisational feel reminiscent of jazz, and an almost classical sounding cinematic harmony. He reflects, "I taught myself to play guitar, for the most part, by listening to very diverse music, such as Debussy, the Beatles, Michael Bloomfield, John Renbourn, Jobim, Bach, Eric Clapton, Ry Cooder, Pat Metheny, Phil Keaggy, and Joseph Spence. Very different players and composers, but somehow, to my ears, they all come together. From Day One that's what I have tried to emulate in my compositions and arrangements." "If Williams' guitar picking gets any sharper, we'll have to create new adjectives." (The Boston Globe) Opener: Dave Salvi - Up and coming singer/songwriter from Leominster, MA. |

Seamus Kennedy Seamus Kennedy, originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland, has been entertaining audiences all over the United States for the past 32 years. With a ready wit and a vast store of songs, he travels from Alaska to Florida, Maryland to California, performing for audiences which range from Popes and presidents to bartenders and bricklayers, from college students to kindergartners. But the Irish have their serious side too, and when Seamus performs one of the more somber ballads such as Tommy Sands' "There Were Roses" or Pete St. John's "Dublin In The Rare Old Times" you can hear a pin drop as the words sink in. That moment of silence before the applause can raise goosebumps. Washington Area Music Awards Best Irish/Celtic Male Vocalist Ten Years Running 1993-2002 Opener: Tale - "Storytelling through traditional fiddle and guitar music." Tale is Katrine Dickau on her moody five-string fiddle, and Perry Dickau on his clear and crisp Taylor 710 guitar. Their music is influenced by a mix of Celtic, Bluegrass, French Canadian, Old Time American, English, and ragtime styles. Whether you're two or ninety-two, their music will make you want to clap along or get up and dance! |

Patty Larkin Winner of eleven Boston Music Awards Imagine a drop-dead brilliant guitar player, a richly textural singer, a commanding, poetic songwriter, a hilarious and personable entertainer all in one person. Fellow performers are often seen at her shows, shaking their heads in admiring wonder at an elaborate guitar lick or sighing vocal trill, a particularly well-tuned lyric line, a perfectly delivered comic line. She is that rare talent who is seen as a songwriter's songwriter, a guitarist's guitarist and a singer's singer and a performer's performer... "Personality To Burn... In the world of the singer/songwriter, personality is everything, and Patty Larkin, an extremely skilled guitarist, has personality to burn..." VILLAGE VOICE Opener: Joel Cage - Cage's unorthadox and aggressive, yet sensitive approach, the culmination of years spent performing with rock'n roll bands, including a three year stint, at a very early age, with Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes, has made him one of the best performers on the New England scene. |
