St Patrick's Week -
Irish Dancers, Bill Kirchen, Carol O'Malley, and NRBQ

Lunch at The Bull Run Restaurant of Shirley during St Patrick's week features Peter O'Malley and The Irish American Step Dancers (from Leominster) on March 14, 15 and 16. (Wednesday through Friday). Lunch is served from 11:30am - the menu includes a corned beef and cabbage option - and the show starts at 1pm. Call (978) 425-4311 for reservations. $6 cover. Peter O'Malley turns on the Irish Blarney with his songs and jokes. The Irish American Step Dancers are a troupe of 12 girls, aged between 5 and 20. Their teacher, Anne O'Connell-Boucher, is from Gardner.

Bill Kirchen (formerly with Commander Cody) and Too Much Fun will be performing at the Bull Run Restaurant, route 2A, Shirley, MA. at 8pm, Friday, March 16. Bill plays American roots music. He celebrates an American musical tradition where country music draws upon its origins in blues and bluegrass, and in the Western swing of Texas and California honky tonks. The show opens with Ellsworth & Hicks, who were finalists at the Crossroads Music Awards 2000 for Contemporary Folk, but they really do folk/ blues/ jazz/ R&B all rolled into one. The Bull Run Restaurant of Shirley is throwing a St Patrick's Day party at 8pm, Saturday March 17 with NRBQ - Rhythm & Blues & a Whole Lot More. This 30-year-old band plays a singular, freewheeling, genre-busting blend of musical flavors - rock, pop, jazz, blues, R&B, polka, rockabilly etc. etc. They have appeared on soundtracks to "Where the Heart is" (Ashley Judd) and 28 Days (Sandra Bullock). Carol O'Malley joins the St Patrick's week line-up at the Bull Run Restaurant of Shirley, from about 6pm on Saturday, March 17 - St Patrick's Day itself. Carol will entertain visitors to the Tap Room with Irish ballads, accompanied by Irish fiddle, and Mike Sowa on the piano. There is no cover charge.
