Bull Run Restaurant Announces Nonprofit Partnerships

SHIRLEY, MA. April 20, 2001
The Bull Run Restaurant of Shirley has standardized its arrangements for nonprofit organizations and other local good causes to assist with fundraising programs.
Nonprofits can host a fundraising dinner in the Sawtelle Room, which seats from 20 to 320 guests, with the potential to raise more than $3,000. Raffle drawings can add to funds raised. EntrŽe choices include the Bull Run's specialty of Slow-roasted Prime Rib of Beef, Baked Stuffed Shrimp, and others.
Dinner can be combined with a show; or a show with optional dinner can be arranged instead.
Free concert tickets and gift certificates for jazzy Sunday brunches are also available, for use as door prizes, raffle items, auction items, etc., for fundraising events held at the Bull Run and elsewhere. More information is available by calling owner/manager Dolores Guercio at (978) 425-4311.
Guercio explained, "For 55 years, the Guercio family and our employees have supported hundreds of nonprofit organizations in their efforts to raise awareness and funds for their respective organizations. We have always helped on a very informal basis, but because an increasing number of organizations are now approaching us for contributions and assistance, we decided that formally packaging our services would ease administration for everyone."
Recently, the Bull Run Restaurant helped to raise funds for Loaves and Fishes at Devens, The American Red Cross, and the Shriner's Children's Hospital in Lexington, all thanks to free concert performances by The Firehouse Band of Littleton. The Bull Run has also assisted The Crohn's and Colitis Society of America, Lura A.White School of Shirley, Shirley Cub Scouts, the Shirley Friendship Fund, and the Pepperell July 4th Committee.
