Bull Run Announces CD Release Parties for Tomorrow's Headliners

SHIRLEY, MA. The Bull Run Restaurant of Shirley, MA. is offering up-and-coming performers the chance to launch their new recordings in a professional environment with lights, stage, sound, and an audience of up to 300. If the show is well received, the performers could be invited back to open for a well-known act, such as Maria Muldaur, Duke Robillard, Dave Van Ronk, and Jay Geils, or even to headline the evening themselves.
The CD Release Package includes a concert hall at no charge, percentage of the ticket sales, a number of complimentary passes for friends and family, space to sell CDs, a separate room for a private pre-concert party with a choice of menu options and cash bar, and assistance with publicity. Full details are available at www.BullRunRestaurant.com, or by e-mailing the Bull Run's booking agent George Tocci at hardy1957@aol.com.
The inspiration for the CD Release Parties came from the quality of the Bull Run's opening acts that set the scene for the more established names. Many of the openers are very well received by the audience and make regular appearances in one of the two concert halls at the 1740's tavern.
The Bull Run's spokesperson, Dolores Guercio, commented, "We really enjoy hiring lesser known acts as well as household names at the Bull Run. Our audiences like the variety and discovering new talent to follow. Offering a CD Release package is a good way to entice even more interest in these performers, who we hope will return to the Bull Run as well know headliners down the road."
The Bull Run Restaurant is a popular, historic New England concert venue and restaurant. The Guercio Family, Innkeepers for 55 years, has maintained and enhanced the ambiance of this 1740s tavern, and they attract top performing artists from New England and beyond. Upcoming acts include Colin Hay (July 13), Levon Helm and the Barn Burners (September 21 - Helm co-founded Bob Dylan's backing group The Band), Tom Rush (November 9), and many more.
